JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Penn State University Park invites applications for 1 part-time course manager to start August 2026. The successful candidates will assist Prof. Andy Lukoff for up to 20 hours per week during the academic semester.
Job Duties:
- Manage 110 teams of 3-5 students using The Fresh Connection (TFC) Simulation (Primary responsibility)
- Assist with grading assignments
- Hold study sessions before exam time
- Create and manage Teams in Canvas and TFC.
- Tally Peer Evaluations for group assignments
- Validate the Weekly Lesson aligns with the Canvas calendar
- Validate all links in Canvas and Top Hat add specific settings/uploads if needed/requested
- Send out intro email to class share your contact info and communicate office hours
- Manage master course roster sheet (including demographics drop/add and other relevant information)
- Assist in the research of a topic when needed. Create slides. Find images
- Assist in preparing Exams and Poll Questions
- Monitor and administer Administrative Issues form
- Assist with miscellaneous administrative tasks such as copying scanning and tallying
- Hold office hours for at least three hours per week in-person or on Zoom
- Attend one class session per day (2x75 minutes/week) to ensure alignment with instructor
Required Qualifications:
- Successful completion of SCM 301 at Penn State
- Currently enrolled Penn State student
Compensation:
Starting rate for this position is $18.00 per hour.
