Job Summary
The Corning Corps of The Salvation Army is seeking a Part-time (15 Hr/Wk) Ministry assistant.
Our part-time positions offer generous time off every year including 14 paid holidays vacation time and sick time
SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Assist the Corps Officers in multiple aspects of ministry at the Corning Corps. The CMA assists in planning and coordinating kids and teen program VBS outreach ministry Sunday School and they will assist with seasonal events such as Kettles and Back to School. They will be expected to share a vision for growing the corps and the Kingdom of God.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To be fully involved in Sunday activities including attending services leading Sunday School classes and junior church in rotation with Corps Officers
- Assist the Corps Officer with the development planning and implementation of various programs including but not limited to:
- Social and evangelistic ministry programs;
- Seasonal efforts such as Kettles Angel Tree Back to School etc.
- Corps summer youth ministries including the recruitment for camps and Bible school programs;
- Assist the Corps Officer in providing leadership at events including assisting the Corps Officers in the promotion registration and implementation of events/activities.
- Assist with transportation for programs divisional events Camp Long Point and seasonal needs (kettles Angel Tree etc.)
- Complete training and licensing requirements for Kids Café program to be able to step in as coverage as needed for call offs of Kids Café staff
- Gather and regularly submit program statistics and maintain program records
- Assist as needed for general daily Corps support needs and perform special projects as assigned by the Corps Officers.
SPECIAL SKILLS CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:
