JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Penn State Behrends School of Engineering is seeking applicants for Part-Time Consultant - Game Design and Deployment Support.
Job duties to include:
- Providing technical support for game design and development activities using Unity.
- Assisting with the implementation and refinement of gameplay mechanics user interfaces and interactive learning elements.
- Supporting deployment testing debugging and maintenance of the game environment across development stages.
- Assisting with repository management version control and collaborative workflows through GitHub.
- Advising the research team on best practices for scalable and maintainable game architecture.
- Supporting troubleshooting and technical problem resolution during development and deployment.
Requirements qualifications and/or competencies:
- The consultant should possess demonstrated experience in Unity-based game development software deployment workflows and GitHub collaboration tools. Experience supporting educational games simulation-based learning environments or interdisciplinary research projects is preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are expected as the consultant will work closely with faculty and student researchers.
Schedule:
- Approximately 10 hours per week
Compensation: $20/hr
