Part-time Communications Specialist

• Lead communications for assigned ministry events and initiatives within Preston Trails established communications strategy.
• Partner with ministry leaders to understand their goals audience message and desired next step.
• Develop and recommend promotional plans messaging and communication approaches appropriate to each initiative.
• Write and edit clear compelling copy for email web print social media and other communication needs.
• Develop creative briefs and provide clear direction and feedback to designers and other creative partners.
• Ensure assigned communications reflect Preston Trails brand voice and messaging standards.
• Partner with the Creative Operations Coordinator and channel owners to move approved communication plans into production and distribution.
• Identify potential stories and communication opportunities and bring them to the Communications Director for further development.
• Collaborate with the Communications Director and Creative Team on larger initiatives as needed.

• Strong writer and editor with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Good creative instincts with the ability to recognize strong design and provide helpful creative direction.
• Able to listen well ask good questions and turn ministry goals into clear communication.
• Working knowledge of communications marketing digital channels and audience engagement.
• Highly collaborative and able to work effectively with ministry leaders Creative Team members and outside partners.
• Organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Demonstrates initiative flexibility good judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
• Relevant communications marketing or ministry experience preferred.
