Full job description

Location: School-Based Program Site
This position will support before and after school programming at Voyager Academy which supports elementary and middle/high school students.

Reports To:Head Coach/Site Leadership

Schedule:Part-Time (Before & After School Programs School Breaks and Summer Programs)
Monday-Friday: 6:30AM-8:15AM and 3:45PM-6:00PM*

*schedule may vary slightly based on location

Position Overview

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children As a Resilience Coach you will help create a safe engaging and supportive environment where students can build confidence develop life skills and thrive.

This is an active hands-on role that combines mentorship enrichment recreation and academic support. We are looking for positive energetic team members who enjoy working with school-age children and creating meaningful connections every day.

Key Responsibilities

Student Engagement & Support

  • Build positive relationships with students and create a welcoming environment.
  • Serve as a role model by promoting respect responsibility and resilience.
  • Support students through positive behavior guidance and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.

Program Delivery

  • Lead engaging enrichment recreation and team-building activities.
  • Facilitate homework help and academic support sessions.
  • Participate in games fitness activities and outdoor play.
  • Help students develop social-emotional and leadership skills.

Program Operations

  • Assist with daily program setup and cleanup.
  • Support student check-in attendance and dismissal procedures.
  • Maintain an organized safe and positive learning environment.
  • Follow all company policies licensing requirements and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • 18 years old or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have completed the Basic School-Age Care (BSAC) training
  • 2 semester hours in child/youth development AND 2 semester hours in school-age programming
  • Experience working with children in schools childcare programs camps recreation programs or youth organizations preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude patience and a genuine passion for youth development.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.Physical Requirements
  • Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Ability to stand walk and move throughout program hours.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
