Job Title: Bartender

Reports To: Bar Supervisor

Role Overview

The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences by preparing and serving beverages in a fast friendly and professional manner. This role ensures the bar area is clean well-stocked and compliant with all alcohol service laws while providing high-quality service that encourages repeat visits and maximizes sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests promptly and provide friendly attentive service.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in line with recipes and standards.
  • Engage with guests answer menu questions and make recommendations.
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean organized and fully stocked bar area throughout shifts.
  • Restock beverages garnishes glassware and bar supplies as needed.
  • Support bar promotions and special events to drive sales.
  • Process payments quickly and accurately using the POS system.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with state laws and company policies.
  • Check IDs to verify legal drinking age when necessary.
  • Follow all safety sanitation and health regulations.
  • Work closely with the Bar Supervisor and other bartenders to maintain smooth operations.
  • Communicate low stock levels maintenance needs or guest feedback to leadership.




Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic bartending techniques and beverage recipes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
  • Comfortable handling money and operating a POS system.
  • Team-oriented with a professional positive attitude.

Experience:

  • Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Must meet the minimum age requirement for alcohol service (21).
  • Valid alcohol service certification (e.g. TIPS ServSafe Alcohol) preferred or willingness to obtain.

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to stand walk and move quickly for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a busy high-noise environment.
  • May require evening weekend and holiday availability.
