Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Assistant Tennis Coach to join our team. This role involves supporting the head tennis coach in fostering a positive competitive environment while ensuring the health and safety of athletes. The ideal candidate will have prior coaching experience with at least level 1 RSPA or PTR certification strong leadership skills and a passion for student-athlete development. The assistant coach assists the head coach in running a successful varsity program that competes as a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II program and as a member of the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA). The position includes recruiting student-athletes practice and competition coaching and the implementation of competitive strategies while advising and mentoring our student-athletes. The assistant coach must understand and promote the mission goals values and educational ideals of Oxford College of Emory University.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the health safety and well-being of athletes on and off the court.
Foster a community of healthy competition and sportsmanship among athletes.
Implement effective and engaging practice sessions.
Assist with team management and logistics.
Maintain open communication with athletes coaches and staff.
Qualifications:
Level 1 RSPA or PTR certification
Ability to pass a driving and criminal background check.
Availability for nights and weekends August through May.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of student-athletes and professional staff.
