Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Assistant College Coach to join our team. This role involves supporting the head coach in fostering a positive competitive environment while ensuring the health and safety of athletes. The ideal candidate will have prior coaching experience strong leadership skills and a passion for student-athlete development. The assistant coach assists the head coach in running a successful varsity program which competes as a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I program and as a member of the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA). This mainly includes recruiting student-athletes practice and competition coaching design and implementation of competitive strategies and advising and mentoring our student-athletes. The assistant must understand and promote the mission goals values and educational ideals of Oxford College of Emory University.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the health safety and well-being of athletes on and off the field.
- Foster a community of healthy competition and sportsmanship among athletes.
- Plan and implement effective and engaging practice sessions.
- Assist with team management and logistics.
- Maintain open communication with athletes coaches and staff.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience required.
- Ability to pass a driving and criminal background check.
- Availability for nights and weekends August through November.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of student-athletes and professional staff.
