Part-Time Adult Apprenticeship Instructor Electrical

• Provide engaging effective instruction to adult apprenticeship students in accordance with approved curriculum and apprenticeship standards.
• Develop lesson plans instructional materials and assessments that align with course objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance grades and student progress.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with students administrators and apprenticeship partners.
• Create and maintain a safe respectful and inclusive learning environment.
• Comply with all Norfolk Technical Center policies and Virginia apprenticeship requirements.

• Current valid Professional Masters Licensein the applicable trade or field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experienceworking in the profession.
• Demonstrated subject-matter expertise and ability to instruct adult learners.
• Strong communication organization and classroom management skills.

• Prior teaching training or instructional experience in adult education or apprenticeship programs.
• Familiarity with Virginia registered apprenticeship standards and requirements.

• Evenings Only
• Mon/Wed 6 PM 9 PM or Tue/Thurs 6 PM-9 PM
• Additional preparation or administrative duties may be required outside of scheduled class time.
