Position: Parish Administrative Assistant
Status: Full-time (35-40 Hours per week)
Practicing Catholic: Required
The Parish Administrative Assistant coordinates and facilitates the day-to-day operations of the activities of the Parish. This position offers the flexibility and opportunity to make use of particular gifts and talents of the individual such as computer skills programming and scheduling of various ministries.
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinates all assigned (clerical) aspects of the Parish Office.
- Coordinates designs and produces weekly Parish bulletin.
- Coordinate and schedules luncheons special sacramental dinners and other events as requested.
- Performs customer service functions by answering parishioners requests and questions through phone contacts emails and office visits. Refers inquiries to the appropriate staff person.
- Assists Pastor as needed.
- Coordinates communications between parish & school offices.
- Responsible for coordinating sacristy and church readiness i.e. bulletin boards communication tools Welcome Desk and ushers room. Maintains the needed resources and supplies for the Welcome Desk and communicates with Welcome Desk volunteers with the goal of maintaining a positive weekend experience.
- Coordinates volunteers for the parish office and the Welcome Desk. Identifies and trains additional office volunteers.
