JOB SUMMARY

TheParent Program Transportation Driversoverall objective is toensurethe safe transport of campers staff and VIP guests. Additionally they will support all departments with seeking and supplying materials and operational needs.They will drive in a manner that is safe and reliable as well as comply with all laws Woodwards Fleet Vehicle Policy and safety protocols.Drivers will also maintain confidential communication between parents and staff to support the needs of campers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide safe and efficient transportation to campers staff and VIPs

  • Serve with a team of drivers to provide around the clock coverage of transportation duties

  • Provide on-call overnight coverage on a rotational basisfor transportation services

  • Interact professionally with team drivers campers parents staff VIPs and third party staff

  • Attend tounaccompaniedminor travel coordinatingwith parents and airport staff

  • Professionally maintain continuousand effectivecommunication with Transportation Coordinator parents and medical personnel as directed

  • Greetcampersand guests with enthusiasm and hospitality

  • Maintainthe utmost caretothe confidentiality of information

  • Collect and submit all receipts for anyauthorizedcamp expenditure

  • Comply with all aspects of Woodwards Fleet Vehicle Policy

  • Maintain safe clean and professional camp vehicles

  • Ability todrive assortment of Woodward vehicles (sedans small SUVs and 15 passenger vans and shuttles)

  • Assist withmaintaininga safe fun and creative environment for our camper guests and staff

  • Contribute to the overall supervision and safety of all campers

  • Assist in cabin daily cleaning inspections

  • Assist with organizing execution of recreation activities

  • Operate a vehicle to execute assigned duties

  • Ability to drive 4 hour trips

  • Cabin Counselor duties as assigned

  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • /- 20campers (7-17 years old)

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment withmoderate supervision agile and able to pivot quickly

  • Exhibits initiativeresponsibility and accountability

  • Successful working in an independent and team environment

  • Ability to develop strong relationships with diverse groups of people

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • Drivers License required

  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record Chcek

  • Must be able to safety drive a 15 passenger van

  • High School degree or equivalent required

  • Provide work related references upon request

  • Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-hire background checks including criminal history clearance through the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH) child abuse clearance through the Department of Public Welfare Motor Vehicle Record if required by position and federal background screening via FBI fingerprinting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a camp environment is preferred

PRE-REQUISITES

Must have or be able to obtain the following prior to starting work:

Woodward will supply information to assist you in obtaining these if needed.

  • Mandated Reporter Training Certificate

  • Safesport Training Certificate

  • Drive Safe Training

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Physical Capabilities: bend twist push pull stand lift 50 lbs.

  • Must be comfortable working in an outdoor and indoor all-season environment.

  • Adhere to all workplace safety practices expectations and guidelines.

  • Primary on-site work location: Woodward PA
