- Manage a high-volume caseload through all stages of litigation including trial
- Provide direction oversight and support to junior litigation staff ensuring quality and consistency of work
- Assist with discovery including document production privilege logs and deposition preparation
- Coordinate with expert witnesses and manage expert file materials
- Review medical records and coordinate expert examinations
- Maintain case files pleadings exhibit lists and litigation calendars
- Drive trial preparation including drafting trial pleadings and in-person trial attendance as needed
- Communicate with clients co-counsel opposing counsel and government agencies as directed by attorneys
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an environmental or mass tort litigation paralegal
- Working knowledge of California environmental regulatory bodies and processes (Cal/OSHA DTSC SCAQMD OEHHA EPA or similar)
- Experience drafting or processing CPRA/FOIA requests strongly preferred
- Familiarity with California civil procedure and discovery rules (CCP)
- Experience filing in State Federal and Appellate Courts preferred
- Proficiency with case management and e-discovery software
- High attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing deadlines
- Familiarity with expert discovery and scientific/technical documents
- Prior experience at a plaintiff-side litigation firm is preferred
- Spanish speaking is a plus
