Job Duties
This position provides a full range of legal and administrative support to the Environmental Sections attorneys. These responsibilities will include: preparing formatting and proofing legal documents correspondence and court filings; generating a weekly report; assembling redacting and compiling documents in PDF format; creating maintaining and updating Excel spreadsheets; creating organizing and updating filing paper and electronic filing systems; maintaining legal databases; legal research; managing client litigation; ensuring calendar control for attorneys; and public records coordination and preservation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Applicants should be experienced with all Microsoft Office Products including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience with preparation of litigation documents (including briefs and tables of authorities) memoranda and correspondence as well as the preparation and updating of spreadsheets.
- Workload demands typing proficiency and strong proof-reading skills.
- Candidates must be detail-oriented and demonstrate the ability to work efficiently juggle deadlines and collaborate effectively in deadline-based environment.
- Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as a team player in covering the work of others when the situation demands.
- Knowledge of environmental federal and state government terminology is a plus as is experience in working with Commonwealth agencies.
Additional Considerations
Applicants should have a Bachelors degree in a related field or have completed a paralegal certificate program. Prior relevant work experience is preferred.
