Requirements

Job Summary: The Paralegal works with clients and internal legal staff to prepare and organize files for in-house or attorney collection services. Tasks include reviewing documentation performing records searches and setting up new accounts.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clients to obtain information and documentation for new collection matters
  • Review client documentation for sufficiency and identify potential issues
  • Set up and review collection matters in NCS Credits internal system
  • Communicate with clients and resolve issues related to new placements
  • Coordinate with NCS Credits Construction Services Group to review documentation related to any potential mechanics lien or bond claim rights in a collections matter
  • Other duties as assigned

Education experience certifications

  • Associates degree or paralegal certificate required; Bachelors degree preferred
  • Two or more years of experience in a professional legal setting

  • Frequent typing and use of keyboard/mouse
  • Prolonged sitting while viewing a computer monitor
  • Near visual acuity
  • Ability to present information clearly and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to management clients and other staff members
