PANP Plastic Surgery Grand Rapids, MI

The Plastic Surgery Division at Corewell Health is seeking to recruit an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to work collaboratively with our General Plastics and Microsurgery Team. This role supports the comprehensive care of patients requiring office and hospital duties as well as complex reconstructive procedures including breast reconstruction muscle flaps cosmetics limb salvage lymphedema management and extended oncologic reconstruction in partnership with multidisciplinary care teams across the Corewell Health system.

As part of Corewell Health the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion evaluates and treats over 750 new breast cancer patients annually and functions as a tertiary referral center for the western half of Michigan. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment adaptability and the ability to practice independently following appropriate onboarding and training.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

• Provide comprehensive management of primary Plastic Surgery patients
• Perform bedside procedures and assist with patient interventions
• Provide first-assist coverage in the operating room
• Participate in the education and clinical support of MSU/Corewell Health Plastic Surgery Residents
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons APPs nurses and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure high-quality safe patient care

Qualifications:

Physician Assistant:

• Required Masters Degree Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program
• LIC-Physician Assistant - State of Michigan
• CRT-Physician Asst Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS)
• CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS)
• CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Preferred Qualifications:

2 Years PA/NP experience

Operative experience preferred

RNFA preferred
