PANJ Sr. Project Forensic Engineer

H2M architects engineers a multidisciplinary architectural engineering andenvironmental consulting firm seeks afull or part-time Engineer or Architect for a Senior Forensic Consultant in our Windsor CT office. For this advanced role we are seeking a candidate who is comfortable acting as a lead engineer in the department with a growing number of responsibilities as we continue our addition to technical expertise on assignments the ideal applicant will excel in customer service and maintaining our important business relationships throughout the insurance ResponsibilitiesConduct residential and commercial forensic investigations to analyze and determine the cause origin and extent of structural failures water intrusions roof damage construction defects and building system failures for insurance companies attorneys private homeowners and property and assess damages due to catastrophes such as storm damage hurricanes and technical publications and literature in support of evaluations and apply engineering principles and practices in accordance with codes and industry detailed forensic engineering reports outlining cause and origin of damage to multiple projects and assume responsibility for project execution within with staff and clients to provide timelines and project updates on a consistent with premises and walking surface investigations product defect cases a travel and inspections of homes roofs and crawlspaces will be & QualificationsBachelors Degree in Engineering or Architecture or closely related discipline required Masters Degree is 8 years engineering or architectural experience and at least one (1) year of forensic engineering experience working with insurance companies and law firms preferred. Deposition and expert testimony experience strong analytical and field inspection be highly motivated dependable and have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and ability to write technical reports and working knowledge of building management and supervisory experience highly with premises and walking surface investigations product defect cases a Engineer (P.E.) or Registered Architect R.A License RequirementsAs part of your role you may be required to work in environments where the use of a respirator is such cases H2M will provide appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with all applicable safety and health regulations. Therefore you will be required to participate in any necessary respirator fit testing training and medical evaluations in accordance with OSHA standards and company is required for this position and you may be required to use your own vehicle for work related travel including travel to and from job sitesif an H2M vehicle is not available. Due to the nature of the position it is expected that you are able to work a flexible schedule which may include nights weekendsand holidays as needed. The salary range for this role is $120000 - $160000 annually.
