Pay Range: $18$24/hour (DOE)
This is amulti-functional entry-to-mid-level role ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the collision repair industry. As a paint apprentice/detailer you will support both the paint department and final delivery process while also assisting with general shop operations.
This position is designed for individuals who are detail-oriented hands-on and eager to learn all aspects of the refinish and detailing process.
- Perform full interior and exterior vehicle detailing prior to customer delivery (washing waxing polishing upholstery cleaning)
- Conduct final quality checks to ensure repairs meet company standards
- Maintain cleanliness of shop office and work areas
- Prepare vehicles for paint by sanding masking and priming surfaces
- Assist painters with daily operations and workflow
- Ensure panels are properly prepped and free of defects before paint
- Maintain paint booth cleanliness and equipment
- Follow OEM procedures and safety standards
- Support technicians and production team as needed
- Move vehicles and assist with staging
- Maintain organized and safe workspace
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Willingness to learn and grow within the collision repair industry
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and remain active throughout the workday
- Ability to read and understand work orders estimates and instructions
- Effective communication skills and ability to follow direction
- Previous automotive detailing or body shop experience is a plus but not required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
