Shift:

Monday Friday: 7:00/7:30 AM 3:30/4:00 PM

On-call call-back weekends and holidays as assigned

Must be able to respond within 15 minutes when on call
Contract Length: 6 months with the option to extend
Estimated Start Date: Pending Award and Completion of Credentialing Process
Compensation:
-
Regular Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Travel weekly stipends: $1246 (If applicable)

Please keep in mind that payroll is processed on a biweekly basis.
Benefits:

Health and Welfare: $5.09/hr (Up to 40 hours worked per week)

PTO: 5 days after 6 months an additional 5 days at 1 year of service

Accrued sick days: 1 hour for every 36 hours worked

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse to provide exceptional post-operative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The ideal candidate will monitor patients recovering from anesthesia manage post-operative needs and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective recovery.
Requirements:
-
Minimum of 24 months of RN experience including at least 2 years of PACU or critical care experience

Current active unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territory

Current BLS ACLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)

Fitness-for-duty clearance

Strong English communication skills and cultural sensitivity

Ability to meet IHS credentialing and background requirements
Responsibilities:
-
Monitor and assess patients during post-anesthesia recovery
-
Manage pain airway vital signs IV therapy and post-operative complications
-
Perform discharge assessments and provide patient education for recovery at home
-
Collaborate with surgeons anesthesia providers and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care
-
Document patient assessments treatments and outcomes accurately in the EHR
-
Float to other departments as needed to support patient care

Maintain compliance with IHS policies HIPAA and nursing standards
