Contract Length: 6 months with the option to extend Estimated Start Date: Pending Award and Completion of Credentialing Process
Compensation:
Regular Pay Rate: $50 per hour
Travel weekly stipends: $1246 (If applicable)
Please keep in mind that payroll is processed on a biweekly basis.
Benefits:
Health and Welfare: $5.09/hr (Up to 40 hours worked per week)
PTO: 5 days after 6 months an additional 5 days at 1 year of service
Accrued sick days: 1 hour for every 36 hours worked

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse to provide exceptional post-operative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The ideal candidate will monitor patients recovering from anesthesia manage post-operative needs and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective recovery. Requirements:
Minimum of 24 months of RN experience including at least 2 years of PACU or critical care experience
Current active unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territory
Current BLS ACLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
Fitness-for-duty clearance
Strong English communication skills and cultural sensitivity
Ability to meet IHS credentialing and background requirements
Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess patients during post-anesthesia recovery
Manage pain airway vital signs IV therapy and post-operative complications
Perform discharge assessments and provide patient education for recovery at home
Collaborate with surgeons anesthesia providers and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care
Document patient assessments treatments and outcomes accurately in the EHR
Float to other departments as needed to support patient care
Maintain compliance with IHS policies HIPAA and nursing standards
