JobSummary:

The Physical Therapy Technician works only under onsite supervision of a PT or PTA. Will perform specific patient treatments as directed by the therapist prepare the patient and/or treatment area responsible for maintaining the physical order of the department and with clerical duties as needed.

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:

• May perform other duties both major and minor which are not mentioned below and specific function may change from time to time.
• Transfers and positions patients appropriately.
• Maintains physical order of the department.
• Cleans equipment following each patient use and processes trash and linen appropriately.
• Assists with the clerical duties as needed.
• Responds to staff requests promptly.
• Assists other support staff in order to promote an efficient delivery of PT services.

Minimum Education Training and Experience Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of on the job training including initial and annual competency training/demonstration.
• This includes successful completion and maintenance of BLS certification.
