Outside Sales Representative

Job DescriptionCurrently we are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to cover our Southern Mississippi territory. This position will develop and manage customer relationships while generating sales of pumps and related equipment for municipal water and wastewater commercial HVAC wastewater treatment/process fire protection and industrial Outside Sales Representative will work closely with customers consulting engineers contractors vendors manufacturers and FPP personnel to identify opportunities develop solutions prepare quotations and manage projects from initial inquiry through delivery and is a technical sales position but previous pump or industry experience is not required. We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills technical aptitude a willingness to learn and a customer-focused mindsetPosition ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers throughout the Southern Mississippi regular sales calls and identify opportunities to grow business within the with customers and consulting engineers to understand applications select equipment and develop project plans and specifications and prepare technical equipment proposals and quotations for bid projects and customer and understand pump curves equipment applications materials of construction and the products represented by sales opportunities and projects from initial inquiry through quotation order delivery startup and sales opportunities and communicate project and account status to FPP with customers engineers contractors manufacturers vendors and FPP personnel throughout the sales and project to customer requests problems and concerns with professionalism and a strong sense of in resolving conflicts and de-escalating difficult situations while working toward solutions that support the customer and assist with equipment startups field measurements troubleshooting and other hands-on customer willing to work in construction wastewater mechanical and industrial environments and assist in the field when necessary to support our RequirementsStrong written and verbal communication interpersonal skills with a positive professional and customer-focused dependable self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects and with computers email Microsoft Office and common business and willingness to travel regularly throughout Southern drivers license and acceptable driving and ability to learn technical products applications plans specifications and equipment to occasionally perform hands-on work in field and jobsite Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience in outside sales technical sales pumps engineering construction water/wastewater commercial HVAC fire protection or industrial equipment to read plans specifications technical drawings or the aptitude and willingness to technical and basic electrical of centrifugal pumps process equipment controls and VFD applications is a organizational and project-management to build relationships with customers engineers contractors and other industry proactive and business-growth to remain professional and solution-focused when dealing with difficult or time-sensitive & BenefitsBase salary plus vehicle or auto allowance phone and expense dental life and supplemental and opportunities for professional and technical believes in doing what it takes to support our customers.
