Job Summary
Stone Center a family- and veteran-owned leader in natural stone supply and fabrication since 1952 is expanding our sales team in Cincinnati OH to support the growing commercial and residential construction market. Were looking for a hunter someone who thrives on finding new business isnt afraid of cold outreach and rejection and is energized by the chase of winning a new account. This is a new-business-development role with a defined territory and uncapped earning potential: your drive to prospect and close directly determines your paycheck. No prior stone industry experience required our team will train you on the product.
Key Responsibilities
- Hunt for new business cold call prospect and knock on doors to build a pipeline from scratch within your territory
- Aggressively grow and expand the client base across commercial and residential construction accounts
- Pursue leads relentlessly and close deals; comfortable hearing no and moving to the next opportunity
- Engage customers in active discussions about current and new products and services
- Serve as the face of Stone Center the first point of contact for customers in person by phone and by email
- Thrive in a fast-paced competitive environment supporting construction projects with seasonal demand
- Collaborate with fabrication operations and other sales team members to deliver a seamless customer experience
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of sales or equivalent new-business-development experience
- Proven ability to prospect and generate new business from cold outreach not just manage existing accounts
- Thick skin undeterred by rejection and persistent in pursuing new opportunities
- Ability to work in-office and travel within the assigned sales territory
- Excellent communication skills with customers and team members
- Competitive self-motivated drive to win comfortable being measured on results
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in construction materials building products natural stone or industrial/wholesale distribution sales
- Track record of exceeding sales quotas or targets
- Growth mindset and willingness to learn the stone and hardscape industry
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $40000 $50000 per year commensurate with experience
- Incentive Compensation: uncapped commission tied to new business and territory sales growth the majority of top performers total earnings comes from incentive pay not base
