Backpack Healthcare provides mental health care for children teens and young adults all online covered by most insurance. Were clinician-led and minority-owned and our psychiatrists are a core part of an integrated care team not a separate service line. Youll work alongside PMHNPs therapists and care coordinators who are all focused on the same patients.

What this role looks like

Youll carry a part-time caseload of 1522 hours per week providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment via telehealth. Afternoon and evening availability is required. Weekend hours are available based on patient demand.

Day-to-day youll:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments across the lifespan
• Diagnose and manage ADHD anxiety depression mood disorders trauma-related conditions and more
• Develop individualized treatment plans including medication management and therapy recommendations
• Collaborate with therapists PMHNPs primary care providers schools and families
• Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support as needed
• Participate in team meetings and clinical consultations
• Maintain accurate timely documentation in compliance with HIPAA and Georgia regulations
• Stay current on developments in psychiatric care and evidence-based treatment

What were looking for

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completed psychiatry residency
• Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry
• Active Georgia medical license and DEA license
• Strong communication skills and genuine comfort working with diverse patient populations
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly encouraged
• Experience in outpatient community mental health or integrated care settings preferred
• Familiarity with telepsychiatry platforms and EHR systems preferred
