Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivatedPhysician Assistant or Nurse Practitionerto join ouradvanced center for GI therapeutics ( APP will support gastroenterologists who perform complex endoscopic and therapeutic procedures including Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) ERCP Barretts esophagus ablation and advanced GERD interventions.
This role focuses on the comprehensive management ofpancreaticobiliary disorders advanced esophageal disease and functional/structural foregut conditions across both outpatient and inpatient settings.
The ideal candidate will work in close collaboration with advanced endoscopists participate in pre- and post-procedural care and manage longitudinal care for complex GI patients.
Duties include but are not limited to
- Running daily GI outpatient clinic
- Accurately providing and counseling patients with information for medical treatment or procedures
- Answering emails and voicemails and returning patient calls in a timely and efficient manner
- Abiding by and promoting HIPAA compliance; maintaining strictest confidentiality with regards to patient information
Master of Medical Science Physician Assistant or Master of Science in Nursing Nurse Practitioner required adult or acute care Nurse Practitioner. GI experience preferred however new graduates are welcome to apply. Must be computer literate and able to operate Practice Management software and multiple Microsoft Office applications.
APP must be able to:
- Provide a high level of quality patient care and customer service at all times
- Work under pressure; assess respond to and communicate issues in a timely manner
- Maintain composure and set a professional example to patients and coworkers
- Communicate clearly with patients and coworkers through the telephone email and in person
- Interpret and apply clinical and non-clinical policies and procedures
Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment; travel as business needs dictate.
