Job Description:

This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Our Beaver Nation Membership Digital Growth Coordinator position for the OSU Foundation at Oregon State University (OSU).

Our Beaver Nation the fundraising arm of Oregon State Athletics brings people together to create meaningful experiences tell impactful stories and build community. Through philanthropy we connect fans donors alumni and friends to the mission of Oregon State Athletics while sharing the positive impact college athletics has on our student-athletes and the world around us.

The Our Beaver Nation Membership Digital Growth Coordinator combines content creation storytelling and digital marketing to grow membership and engagement across Beaver Nation. Through game-day coverage social media strategy creative content development and audience analytics this role helps convert fans into active supporters and advocates of Oregon State Athletics. The position works collaboratively with student-athletes coaches and creative teams to deliver authentic content identify growth opportunities and build meaningful connections with current and prospective members.

Applicants should be self-starters creative and have the ability to balance independent and collaborative work.

Position Duties

  • Use content storytelling and digital engagement strategies to convert fans into active Our Beaver Nation members and supporters.

  • Develop and execute digital engagement strategies that increase awareness engagement and membership growth for Our Beaver Nation.

  • Create capture edit and publish compelling content across social media and digital platforms.

  • Collaborate with Athletics staff student-athletes coaches and creative content teams to develop authentic and engaging content.

  • Assist with game-day and event coverage capturing photos videos interviews and member experiences for future marketing and promotional use.

  • Monitor social media performance audience behavior and membership conversion metrics; use data and analytics to recommend and implement improvements.

  • Identify highly engaged supporters and assist in moving audiences into additional communication membership and engagement opportunities.

  • Support lead generation efforts by identifying and cultivating prospective members through digital engagement.

  • Recommend strategies to convert social media followers into active members and advocates of Our Beaver Nation.

  • Stay current on emerging social media trends digital marketing best practices and content strategies to bring fresh ideas and innovation to the organization.

  • Serve as a positive ambassador for Our Beaver Nation while maintaining professionalism in interactions with student-athletes fans donors and campus partners.

Qualifications:

  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment

  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard

    • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program

    • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term

    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*

    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term

    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*


  • *International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered full-time by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by theOffice of International Services(OIS) and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

    Required

    • A preference for a student majoring in marketing or sports business.

    • Communication skills in areas including but not limited to interpersonal public speaking digital verbal and written communication.

    • Handle interpersonal relationships maturely thoughtfully and empathetically including the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

    • Organizational skills including managing time and working accurately with interruptions to meet a deadline

    • Work well under pressure exercising flexibility initiative good judgment and discretion.

    • Flexibility in work schedule is required as occasional evening and weekend work is required.

    • Experience with Adobe Suite photography and videography for social media purposes.

    • Use of Instagram Facebook X LinkedIn for business purposes.

    • General understanding of office practices.

    Working Conditions/Schedule:
    - This is a part-time position working up to 15-20 hours per week.
    - The selected candidate will start in August and work through the fall term.
    - Extension for additional terms will be evaluated based on budget and performance.
