Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) – La Jolla, CA

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) to support patients throughout the surgical and recovery process. • Perform patient assessments and assist with ongoing treatment planning

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing support

• Triage patient concerns and respond appropriately to clinical needs

• Monitor patient recovery progress and identify potential complications

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

• Educate patients and family members regarding procedures recovery expectations medications and follow-up care

• Coordinate care with physicians therapists and other healthcare professionals

• Support emergency protocols and clinical interventions when necessary

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

• Provide telephone triage patient guidance and care coordination services

• Promote patient safety quality outcomes and exceptional patient experiences

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Previous nursing experience required

• Orthopedic surgical outpatient ambulatory emergency operating room or acute care experience preferred

• Strong assessment communication and critical-thinking skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
