This position offers the opportunity to join Emorys orthopedic team as part of MGO and ESA in a collaborative community-based practice. Due to strong patient demand there is an immediate opportunity to build a busy high-volume hand practice while expanding access to specialty care in the region.

Job Description

Hand and Upper Extremity Orthopedic Surgeon

Focus on core hand and upper extremity surgical procedures with an anticipated volume of 500600 hand procedures annually and significant growth potential. Youll perform a broad range of procedures including tendon and nerve repair fracture fixation carpal and cubital tunnel release trigger finger release thumb CMC arthroplasty wrist arthroscopy ligament reconstruction deformity correction and selected shoulder and elbow procedures.

Spine Surgeon

Focus primarily on core spine surgical procedures with an anticipated surgical volume of 300400 spine procedures annually and significant opportunity for continued growth. Youll treat a broad range of degenerative traumatic and elective spine conditions while building a thriving referral base. More complex tertiary and quaternary cases will continue to be referred to Emory in Atlanta allowing you to focus on developing a strong community-based spine practice. As part of the orthopedic team there may also be some general orthopedic call and coverage responsibilities with the balance of spine and general orthopedics evolving as the practice continues to grow.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a Doctor of Medicine Degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree (D.O.). Must hold a valid and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia. Board Eligible or Board Certified preferred. Hold a valid DEA certificate without restriction. Experience in outpatient medical practice preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills required. Must be computer literate.
