Job Details:

TheOrgan Procurement Specialist is responsible for the preparation operation and monitoring of organ preservation systems used during donor organ recovery and transportation. This role works closely with transplant surgeons organ procurement organizations (OPOs) and transplant coordinators to optimize donor organ preservation and support successful transplantation outcomes. Among the job functions include: travel to donor hospitals for organ procurement procedures; prepare manage and troubleshoot perfusion solutions preservation techniques and recovery equipment; assist with initiation monitoring and maintenance of organ preservation techniciques including ex vivo heart and lung perfusion systems where applicable; collect and document hemodynamic metabolic and laboratiory data through transplant;and collaborate with transplant surgeons anesthesiologists and procurement teans during donor organ recovery.

Hours: On call; Requires travel

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Perfusion Cardiovascular Science or related field
  • 2 years of experience in ICU CVICU OR or related field required. 5 years preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Certification through the American Board of Cardivascular Perfusion (Certified Clinical Perfusionist-CCP) preferred
  • Registered Nurse (Preferred)

Salary Range: Minimum 45.28/hour - Maximum $74.76/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
