Oracle Reporting Leader (OTBI & BI)

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Reporting Leader to drive the design development and governance of enterprise reporting solutions using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and broader Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) tools. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for delivering actionable insights optimizing existing reports/dashboards and building scalable reporting capabilities to support business operations finance sales and executive decision-making.
The ideal candidate will lead a small team or matrixed resources collaborate closely with functional and technical stakeholders and ensure reporting solutions align with Oracle Cloud best practices. This is an immediate-start contract-to-hire opportunity with a client based in St. Louis.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the strategy architecture and delivery of OTBI and Oracle BI reporting solutions including complex subject area analysis dashboards KPIs and embedded analytics.
Design develop and maintain high-quality OTBI reports analyses and visualizations using Oracle Cloud ERP CX HCM or SCM modules.
Oversee BI Publisher (BIP) report development templates bursting and integrations with OTBI/OAC.
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements translate them into technical specifications and deliver self-service reporting capabilities.
Implement and enforce reporting governance security (data access/security profiles) performance tuning and data quality standards.
Lead troubleshooting root-cause analysis and optimization of existing reports and dashboards.
Mentor and guide developers on OTBI modeling SQL performance and Oracle Analytics best practices.
Collaborate with Oracle Cloud functional and technical teams on reporting impacts from quarterly updates extensions and new module implementations.
Support data integration and reconciliation between transactional systems and reporting layers.
Contribute to reporting roadmap planning tool evaluations and migration strategies (e.g. toward Oracle Analytics Cloud where applicable).
Provide status updates manage deliverables and ensure projects meet timelines and quality expectations.
Required Qualifications
7 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud reporting with strong expertise in OTBI and Oracle BI Publisher.
Proven leadership experience managing reporting teams projects or initiatives in an Oracle Cloud environment (ERP CX or HCM preferred).
Deep knowledge of Oracle Cloud subject areas security models flexfields and transactional data structures.
Strong SQL and data modeling skills; experience with performance tuning of complex OTBI analyses.
Experience delivering enterprise dashboards KPIs and executive-level reporting.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Business Analytics or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) OBIEE or other modern BI platforms.
Functional knowledge of Oracle Cloud modules (Financials Procurement Order Management Sales Service etc.).
Prior consulting or client-facing experience (Protiviti Big 4 or system integrator background a plus).
Familiarity with Oracle Cloud quarterly update processes and regression testing for reporting.
Experience with data visualization best practices storytelling with data and tools like Oracle Visual Analyzer.
Local or willing to work in the St. Louis area for hybrid engagement.
