Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence Consultant to lead the design development implementation and maintenance of enterprise data warehousing and business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in data modeling ETL development database technologies reporting platforms and business intelligence architecture. This role requires strong analytical capabilities excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop implement and maintain enterprise data warehouses and data marts.
• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable data warehouse solutions.
• Develop logical and physical data models including Star Schemas Snowflake Schemas and highly normalized data structures.
• Build and maintain data dictionaries metadata repositories and documentation standards.
• Design and implement ETL processes for data extraction transformation and loading using GUI-based ETL tools.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries stored procedures and database objects.
• Support analytical reporting and decision-support systems.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Perform data quality analysis validation benchmarking and performance tuning.
• Support database administration activities and ensure data integrity across enterprise systems.
• Manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality solutions within project timelines.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Warehousing Business Intelligence or related disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems data warehouse architecture and decision support systems.
• Extensive experience developing implementing and maintaining data warehouses and data marts.
• Hands-on experience with Business Objects and building data dictionaries.
• Experience using database access tools for application delivery.
• Strong understanding of analysis planning and management reporting functions.
• Expertise in data modeling techniques including Star Schema Snowflake Schema and normalized data models.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica IBM WebSphere DataStage or similar technologies.
• Experience implementing enterprise-class databases such as Oracle SQL Server Teradata or equivalent platforms.
• Experience with BI and reporting tools including Business Objects Cognos Hyperion MicroStrategy or similar technologies.
• Thorough understanding of the complete data warehouse lifecycle including:

  • Data sourcing and transformation
  • ETL development
  • SQL development
  • Reporting and end-user tools
• Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Database administration and development.
• Experience creating and maintaining SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) reports.
• Experience working with M204 database environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data warehouse implementations.
