Oracle APEX and PLSQL Database Developer

We are seeking an experienced Oracle APEX/PL/SQL Developer with 5 years of professional software development experienceto design develop enhance and support enterprise web applications built on Oracle technologies.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience withOracle APEX Oracle SQL and PL/SQL combined with front-end development expertise usingJavaScript jQuery HTML5 and CSS3. The developer will work closely with business stakeholders technical teams and database administrators to translate business requirements into secure scalable maintainable and user-friendly applications.

Responsibilities

• Design develop test deploy and maintain enterprise applications usingOracle APEX
• Develop complex database functionality usingOracle SQL and PL/SQL including packages procedures functions triggers views and dynamic SQL
• Build responsive and intuitive APEX user interfaces usingHTML5 CSS3 JavaScript and jQuery
• Customize Oracle APEX components including Interactive Grids Interactive Reports forms Dynamic Actions LOVs validations processes and shared components
• Implement client-side functionality using JavaScript jQuery and Oracle APEX JavaScript APIs
• Develop and integrateRESTful services and APIswith Oracle APEX applications
• Integrate APEX applications with external systems and data sources
• Design efficient SQL queries and optimize application and database performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve application PL/SQL JavaScript and database-related issues
• Implement application security using APEX authentication and authorization schemes session-state protection access controls and secure coding practices
• Participate in requirements gathering technical design code reviews testing and production deployments
• Develop reusable APEX components and establish development standards and best practices
• Maintain technical documentation for applications database objects integrations and deployment procedures
• Provide ongoing production support debugging maintenance and application enhancements

Requirements

• TS/SCI FSP Clearance
• 5 years of professional software development experience with significant hands-on development using Oracle technologies
• Strong hands-on experience developing applications withOracle APEX
• Advanced knowledge ofOracle SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience developing PL/SQL packages stored procedures functions triggers and other database objects
• Strong experience withJavaScript and jQuery particularly within Oracle APEX applications
• Proficiency withHTML5 and CSS3 including responsive web application development
• Experience customizing Oracle APEX Universal Theme and application user interfaces
• Experience with APEX Dynamic Actions and client-side/server-side processing
• Experience developing and customizing Interactive Reports and Interactive Grids
• Understanding of AJAX-based processing and communication between APEX pages and PL/SQL
• Experience consuming or developingREST APIs / RESTful Web Services
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts data modeling and SQL performance optimization
• Experience troubleshooting applications using browser developer tools and Oracle APEX debugging capabilities
• Understanding of application security and secure software development practices
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a development team

• Experience with recent versions ofOracle APEX including APEX 24.x
• Experience withOracle REST Data Services (ORDS)
• Experience integrating Oracle APEX with external enterprise applications and data sources
• Experience working with JSON REST services and AJAX
• Knowledge of Oracle database performance tuning and query optimization
• Experience with Git or other source-control systems
• Experience with CI/CD and automated deployment processes for Oracle database and APEX applications
• Familiarity with accessibility and responsive UI/UX development standards
• Experience supporting enterprise or mission-critical Oracle APEX applications
