OR Technician (Surgical Technologist)

Location: Sugar Land TX 77479
Duration: Contract Assignment
Shift: Day Shift
Hours: 42.5 Hours per Week
Schedule: Monday Friday 6:45 AM 3:15 PM

• Prepare operating rooms with necessary surgical instruments supplies and equipment.

• Function as a scrub assistant during surgical and invasive procedures.

• Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection control standards.

• Anticipate surgeon needs and efficiently pass instruments and supplies during procedures.

• Assist with patient positioning preparation and transport as needed.

• Perform instrument counts and ensure surgical supplies are accounted for.

• Support perioperative patient care and contribute to positive surgical outcomes.

• Act as a resource and role model for other staff members when appropriate.

• Follow all facility policies procedures and safety guidelines.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

• Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) through NBSTSA or TS-C (Tech in Surgery Certified) through NCCT.

• Strong knowledge of sterile processing surgical instrumentation and perioperative procedures.

• Recent experience in:

  • General Surgery

  • Gynecology (GYN)

  • ENT (Ear Nose & Throat)

  • Orthopedics

  • Urology

  • Vascular Surgery

  • Robotics

  • Mako Robotics

• Preferred experience in Neuro Spine and Pediatric Surgery.

• Surgical Scrub Experience
