Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Technician (CST) to support surgical teams in a hospital setting. The Surgical Technician will assist Registered Nurses and surgeons during procedures by performing scrub and circulating duties maintaining sterile technique and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scrub duties in accordance with aseptic and sterile technique guidelines
  • Prepare and maintain sterile instrument tables surgical supplies and operating rooms
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments sutures sponges and supplies
  • Maintain accurate counts of sponges needles and instruments with the circulating nurse
  • Assist with patient positioning draping specimen handling and dressings
  • Support room setup turnover and post-procedure clean-up
  • Monitor and maintain the sterile field throughout surgical procedures
  • Assist with medication labeling and handling under RN supervision
  • Follow OSHA standards and hospital policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of OR Technician experience in a hospital setting
  • Cardiac surgery experience required (must be clearly listed on resume)
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
  • BLS Certification (AHA) required
  • Completion of an accredited CST training program
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • English language proficiency
