Compensation:
- Travel: Up to $74.80/hr (Including Stipend)(Based on Experience)
- Local: Up to $62/hr (Based on Experience)
Schedule:
- Monday Friday
- 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
- 37.5 Hours per Week
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced O.R. Technician (Certified Surgical Technologist) for a contract opportunity in New York NY. The ideal candidate will have strong hospital-based operating room experience with a focus on cardiac surgical procedures. This role requires excellent technical skills attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment while supporting multidisciplinary surgical teams.
- Assist surgeons nurses and surgical staff during operative procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields instruments and equipment
- Ensure proper sterilization setup and handling of surgical instruments and supplies
- Support cardiac surgical procedures and other complex surgical cases
- Anticipate surgeon and procedural needs to maintain efficient workflow during surgery
- Adhere to infection prevention patient safety and operating room protocols
- Perform surgical counts of instruments sponges and supplies before and after procedures
- Assist with patient positioning transport and operating room preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of surgical equipment and instruments
- Complete required documentation related to surgical cases and procedures
- Minimum 2 years of recent O.R. Technician / Surgical Technologist experience in a hospital setting
- Hands-on experience supporting cardiac surgical cases is required and must be clearly reflected on the resume
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred and/or required based on facility requirements
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and operating room protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in high-acuity and fast-paced surgical environments
- Excellent communication teamwork and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical instructions accurately
- Knowledge of surgical instruments procedures and operating room workflows
