Location: Cooperstown NY 13326 Duration: 12 Weeks Shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
Compensation
Traveler Pay: $60$64/hr ($2160$2304/week) based on experience
Local Pay: $50$55/hr ($1800$1980/week) based on experience
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced OR Tech CVOR to join a dynamic surgical services team. The ideal candidate will have specialized experience supporting cardiovascular surgical procedures and maintaining a safe sterile operating room environment. This role requires strong technical skills attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced high-acuity surgical setting.
The OR Tech will collaborate closely with surgeons registered nurses anesthesia providers and other surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes during a variety of complex procedures.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields for cardiovascular and operating room procedures.
Assist surgeons during cardiac thoracic vascular and other surgical cases.
Handle surgical instruments supplies implants and specialized operating room equipment.
Anticipate surgeon needs throughout procedures to promote efficient case flow.
Set up and break down operating rooms according to established protocols.
Ensure proper instrument counts and adherence to surgical safety standards.
Collaborate with nursing anesthesia and surgical teams to support quality patient care.
Maintain strict compliance with infection prevention sterilization and patient safety guidelines.
Assist with operating room turnover to support daily surgical schedules.
Participate in emergency and on-call surgical procedures as assigned.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow departmental policies and procedures.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
