Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our OR Charge Poster you will organize collect verify and perform the submission of surgical services charges through electronic medical records for submission to the patient bill.

Everyday you will help with the management of inventory as related to picking replenishing and requisitioning of products and high value goods. Monitors and assures inventory levels meet demand tracking usage and setting inventory levels for specific groups of products in support PAR and perpetual locations.

To be successful in this role you must be detailed oriented report driven and work independently to ensure patient charges are submitted and accurate.

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately gathers and records information needed for timely submission of patient charges
  • Notifies teams leads/OR Manager of discrepancies that may occur in charge capture for correction as needed
  • Insures equipment and supplies that are used throughout the process of the perioperative patient encounter are captured in the EMR
  • Research review and capture billable items throughout out the Surgical Services patient experience
  • Manages oversight of the tissue tracking to include checking in products matining compliance with regulatory requirements and validating the chargers are posted to the patient EMR
  • Monitors PAR levels of specialty items to assure the appropriate levels are established in order to not impact patient care
  • Works in collaboration with reprocessing resources leadership and buyers to optimize usage of reprocessed products; acts as a liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management
  • Manages approved inventory and processes bills (RFPs)

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Stays on tasks and meets deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of Supply Chain and EMR platforms
  • Ability to possess and present data clearly

Preferred:

  • Prior healthcare admin experience
