• Provide comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages.
• Diagnose and manage refractive errors ocular diseases and vision disorders.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and vision-enhancing treatments.
• Manage conditions such as glaucoma diabetic eye disease dry eye syndrome and other ocular health concerns within the scope of optometric practice.
• Co-manage pre-operative and post-operative ophthalmic surgical patients.
• Collaborate closely with ophthalmologists regarding specialty referrals and complex patient care.
• Educate patients on eye health disease prevention and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation within the electronic health record.

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Eligibility for Louisiana optometry licensure.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork.

• Previous clinical experience in medical optometry.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Interest in collaborative surgical co-management and specialty eye care.
