Optometric Scribe

What Youll Do

VisionFirst has an immediate opening for an Optometric Scribe to join our Salem IN office. This is an excellent opportunity to join an employee-owned practice and help to provide the best level of care for our patients. Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Accurately document patient history chief complaints exam findings treatment plans and follow-up instructions in real time during exams
• Ensure data is entered efficiently and accurately in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system
• Assist with patient flow by preparing charts
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients doctors and other members of the team.

What Were Looking For

• Friendly people-first personality
• Detail-oriented and organized under pressure
• Team player who is dependable and takes ownership
• Prior optometry or medical office experience is a plus but well train the right person
