Optician I - LOptique of Dallas in Dallas TXTemporary position at our boutique eye care centerFull time hours available:Monday Saturday 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday Thursday Friday 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM OFF Wednesday and Sunday Required to work SaturdaySeptember 7th start date (with flexibility)Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferencesProvide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames Achieve sales goals and quotas asdeterminedby office staff while attending to patients specific needs and desiresReviewPhysicians prescriptions and orders based on medical chartsOperate manual lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fittings for patientsCommunicate withphysicianwith questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issuesPerform adjustments and repairs of eyewearDispensing eyewear ordersPlace optical orders with a general understanding of insurance benefitsCommunicating with doctors staff and patientsAnswer phone calls greet patients and schedule appointmentsEducate patients on their insurance coverage and vision benefitsObtain insurance authorizations and verification of benefitsAccurately post charges for exam fees co-pays and products soldQualifications/Skills Needed:2yearsoptical experienceExcellent customer service and sales skillsStrong organizational and multi-tasking abilitiesProfessional phone and office etiquetteCoachable-open to feedback and continual improvementAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environmentExperience dispensing corrective lenses preferredExperience with both contact lenses and glassesAbility to operate lensometers and other equipmentCertified Dispensing Optician desired but not requiredCulture of practice:As a small high-end boutique practice specializing in comprehensive eye care we operate with a close-knit team consisting of one manager one optician one technician and one doctor.
