| Job Description: | This position is located in the Department of Pediatrics Child Health Research Institute. This position will perform laboratory experiments using applications and procedures established in this lab. This will include: Perfusion Dissection Mouse behavioral tests IP injections PCR for genotyping Protein assays Western blots RNA extraction tissue culture histology confocal microscopy and various other molecular biology tests/experiments. This position will be involved with tissue culture of animals cell lines and some primary cell lines. This position will be exposed to animal tissues to include harvesting and processing. This position will be expected to participate in all IACUC approved animal studies. The candidate will be involved in animal husbandry breeding daily checks weening tail snips and harvesting. Additionally this position will be expected to maintain the lab daily and train new lab members as well as maintain daily accurate laboratory records notes and findings in a lab notebook. |
