Job Description:

This position is located in the Department of Physical Therapy within the College of Public Health and Health Professions and serves the Brooks-UF PHHP Research Collaboration. The mission of this research collaboration is to advance high-quality rehabilitation research to improve clinical care and outcomes. Primary responsibilities include providing administrative support assisting with marketing and communications initiatives and coordinating event and activities for the Brooks-UF PHHP Research Collaboration. These responsibilities include:

Administrative Assistance

  • Provide administrative support to the Brooks-UF PHHP Research Collaboration
  • Create meeting agendas and transcribe meeting minutes
  • Assist with additional administrative responsibilities as needed

Marketing & Communications (Digital/Web)

  • Update and maintain website design and content implement requested changes and maximize website optimization.
  • Develop engaging content such as newsletters and multimedia assets for events
  • Design and update graphic materials for events programs and marketing initiatives

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Coordinate event logistics including room reservations calendar invitations agendas attendance tracking and catering requests. Responsibilities may require occasional evening or weekend work and travel to Jacksonville FL.
  • Adhere to university and state fiscal policies and procedures (e.g. alcoholpolicies facilities requirements etc.)
Expected Salary:

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour; commensurate with education and experience

Required Qualifications:

Associates degree in a relevant field or two years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of work and education.

Preferred:
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to anticipate needs problem-solve efficiently and adapt in fast-paced environments

This position is part-time (up to 20 hours per week). Hours may be flexible within the week but are expected to happen between normal business hours (MondayFriday 9:00 a.m.5:00 p.m.). Responsibilities may require occasional evening or weekend work and travel to Jacksonville FL.
