We are looking for: OphthalmologyCredentialedVeterinaryTechnician

Proposed Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm

The Ophthalmology teamis unique in that itspecializes in appointment-based patient care as well asassistingandpreparing forsurgeries.Ophthalmology is afast-pacedservice with a high caseload alternatingbetweenappointment and surgery days.You couldassistwith tonometry corneal stains Schirmer tear testing as well as TPRs and chemical ablations.

Whatyoulldo:

• Prioritize caseload and patient care and prepare and check charts forappropriate paperwork

• Restrain andassistduring examinations

• Obtain vitals and perform ocular testing

• Assist with Venipuncture IV Catheter placement and surgical procedures

• Potential foradditionaltraining inanesthesia andsedation

• Prepare callinor create written prescriptions

• Coordinate interdepartmental communication services patienttransfersand consults

Who are you:

• State Registered Veterinary Technician licensepreferred

• Prior veterinary experiencepreviousophthalmologyexperience desired

• Proficientincalculations(drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)

• Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
