Overview
We are seeking an Ophthalmic Associate to join our patient care team. Our ideal candidate passion for healthcare and learning. We are willing to provide on-the-job training and experience to the right candidate as they work towards a career path of an ophthalmic technician or this role your primary tasks are to assist the providers with diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
What You Will Do:
- Take medical histories and verify information
- Perform visual function and diagnostic tests such as applanation tonometry
- Utilize tools such as a Humphrey field analyzer and OCT to take eye measurements
- Inform the ophthalmologist about changes to a patients visual acuity and other vision issues
- Dilate eyes to prepare patients for their eye exam
- Explain how to properly use eye drops or other medications
- Assist with inventory management
- MUST be willing to travel
Qualifications
What You Will Bring:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Proficient with MS Office tools (outlook excel word)
