How Will You Make an Impact: Arrive to work on time and work during scheduled hours working additional overtime as needed. Follow all written procedures. Report discrepancies in procedures (SOPs DHRs etc.) to the Area Supervisor.
A Day in the Life:
- Work cooperatively and efficiently with coworkers in all departments with little supervision to achieve team department and company goals.
- Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery. Perform simple maintenance and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area. This includes all assigned equipment.
- Accurately dispense required additives to media and properly perform technique of getting pH balance as needed.
- Package products as required.
- Complete production assignments in a timely manner and in accordance with departmental schedules.
- Obtain correct materials for operation needs from warehouse or staging area.
- Read understand and complete required documentation. All paperwork shall be accurately and neatly completed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Identify and obtain correct components and materials from warehouses and designated staging areas.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: No previous work experience required
- Previous work experience in manufacturing operations production or lab setting or related field preferred.
- Experience in a cGMP environment Knowledge Skills Abilities
- Must possess basic English communications skills both written and/or verbal
- Must be able to comprehend and follow both written and/or verbal English communications
- Must be able to perform basic math calculations Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand for sustained periods of time approximately 10 hours a day
- Walk short distances maneuvering self around machinery and co-workers
- Ability to see in color

Thermo Fisher Scientific recently announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell its microbiology business to Astorg a leading pan-European private equity firm with deep expertise in healthcare focused on a select set of subsectors including pharmaceutical services and technology medtech and related services life science tools and diagnostics.
This decision follows a thoughtful evaluation as part of Thermo Fishers ongoing business strategy to actively manage and strengthen our portfolio.
We expect the transaction will be completed in the second half of 2026 subject to customary closing conditions and applicable regulatory approvals. Until the transaction is complete Thermo Fisher will continue to operate the business.
If you join the microbiology business prior to the close of the transaction your employment is expected to transition to Astorg.
