Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for operating the fryers to achieve product specification targets and complete process checks at a timely manner.

Job Description

Individuals in this position must:

  • Follow all plant safety policies and procedures. Be actively engaged in safetyparticipatein safety programs engage in safety activities perform riskassessmentsanddemonstrateownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other team members.Report all nearhits incidents and any safety concerns.

  • Have a working knowledge of the equipment pipinglayoutand controls inareaof responsibility.

  • Monitor and control the temperature and time on the fryers to achieve product specification targets.Record allchangesand inform supervisor before changes aremade.

  • Performvarious processchecksper procedureto ensure quality;including but not limited toFFAchecks upstream colorSAPPand salt concentrations.Enter checks into theprocessentryin a timely manner.

  • Monitor and control the amount of dextrose and salt added to the flume water supply tank toattaintarget color and salt content in the finished product.

  • Performs all Daily Management System standards per schedule to include CILs CLs and Defect Handling.Enterfinished standardsin a timely manner.

  • Monitor and ensure oil levels and circulation valves on the fryersare adjustedcorrectly.

  • Transfer oil from holding tanks to other tanks and/orfryerswhen needed.

  • Clean static product build-up out of the fryers during breaks in line-flow or when instructed by the Supervisor.

  • Check all oil recovery equipment to ensure it isoperatingproperly toattainthe highest oil recovery rate possible.

  • Follow weekend cleanup procedures to clean fryers and other equipment in the fryer area.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned bythe leador supervisor.

  • Participation in AMD

  • Must be forklift certified. If notmustmeet requirements to become forklift certified.

  • Must be Sanitation qualified.If notmustmeet requirements to become forklift certified.

  • Must be LOTO qualified. If notmustcomplete LOTO training.

  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills with all plantpersonnel.

  • Read understand and obey all plant rules GMPs and practice safety as outlined in the employeehandbook.

  • Be knowledgeable of the potential hazards and safety procedures associated with the task being performed.

  • Observes safety and security procedures;reportspotentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.

  • Must be able todemonstrateabalanceofteamwork and individual responsibilities.

Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)preferred.

LanguageSkills

Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English.

  • Be able to sit stand walkbend crouch or stoupand climbstairs & ship ladders.

  • Ability to have hands and sight work together to be able to do things that require speed and accuracy.

  • Must be able to use fingers without difficulty and havenormal natural range of motion.

  • Be able tolift upto 10 pounds ona frequentbasis and 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.

  • Have specific vision abilities required by this job which include close vision distance vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Must be able to push and pull heavy items on occasionup to theamountof lifting requirements.

Work Environment

  • Will work around hot oilfrequently.

  • Will work around forklift traffic.
