Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators dozers loaders graders scrapers rollers and articulated dump trucks
• Perform excavation grading trenching backfilling and material placement according to project plans and specifications
• Read and interpret grade stakes blueprints and survey markings
• Work closely with foremen laborers and other operators to coordinate work activities
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance and cleaning
• Follow all OSHA MSHA (if applicable) and company safety policies
• Maintain proper trench safety and awareness around underground utilities
• Assist with site housekeeping and general construction tasks as needed
  

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment on heavy civil or transportation projects
• Proven experience with mass earthwork utilities or roadway construction
• Ability to work from plans grades and elevations
• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices
• Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible hours including overtime if required
