About the Role

We are seeking a Night Shift Warehouse Operations Supervisor to lead overnight warehouse operations in a highly automated distribution environment. This role is responsible for overseeing warehouse associates ensuring operational excellence across multiple warehouse management and automation systems and driving safety productivity and inventory accuracy throughout the shift.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in facilities that utilize Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) warehouse automation technologies and integrated warehouse management platforms. This individual will serve as a key operational leader troubleshooting system-related challenges coordinating workflow across departments and ensuring the seamless movement of materials throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations Leadership

  • Lead and supervise night shift warehouse operations ensuring daily productivity quality and service goals are achieved.
  • Direct the activities of warehouse associates technicians and support personnel in a high-volume distribution environment.
  • Manage receiving storage replenishment order fulfillment inventory control and shipping activities.
  • Monitor workflow and labor allocation to maximize operational efficiency and throughput.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for operational and system-related issues during the shift.

Automation & Systems Management

  • Oversee operations within an automated warehouse environment utilizing ASRS technology.
  • Monitor and coordinate activities across multiple warehouse and automation platforms including WMS conveyor systems sortation equipment robotics and material handling technologies.
  • Partner with Maintenance Engineering IT and Operations teams to troubleshoot equipment and system interruptions.
  • Ensure automated systems are operating efficiently and support continuous flow throughout the warehouse.
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation utilization throughput and operational performance.

Inventory & Process Control

  • Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through audits cycle counts and inventory control procedures.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with established warehouse processes SOPs and safety standards.
  • Monitor operational metrics and prepare shift performance reports.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Coach mentor and develop warehouse team members to achieve operational goals.
  • Conduct training performance management and employee development activities.
  • Promote a culture centered around safety accountability teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure company policies procedures and regulatory requirements are consistently followed.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years of warehouse distribution fulfillment center or logistics experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations within a highly automated environment.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience working with ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems).
  • Experience managing operations across multiple warehouse systems and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) inventory control shipping receiving and fulfillment processes.
  • Experience troubleshooting operational and system performance issues.
  • Strong leadership problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume distribution environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Logistics Business Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with automated fulfillment e-commerce retail distribution manufacturing or large-scale logistics operations.
  • Exposure to robotics conveyor systems sortation systems and other material handling automation technologies.
  • Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience preferred.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $66100.00 - $105800.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidates primary work location pay grade and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors in addition to primary work location such as complexity and responsibility of role job duties/requirements and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
