As an Operations Product Development (OPD) Product Manager you will engage with the Apple Engineering Product Design Operations Procurement Marketing and Planning teams to shape product and roadmap definition as an advocate for cost u0026 supply chain while enabling feature-rich best-in-class hardware products. nnIn this role you will help guide the Operations/Procurement teams to influence upcoming product features u0026 roadmaps identify and address gaps to success and serve as a one stop shop to advise the broader organization on all things cost and supply chain. nnThis position requires very strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to effectively influence peers and management as well as a solid understanding of consumer electronics architecture supply chains and manufacturing cost structures. Ideal candidates will have a natural curiosity about how things work and why.

Understand key consumer electronic technologies to be able to identify cost trade-offs that challenge design feature and supply chain constraintsnPerform detailed cost modeling and identify/develop opportunities for both material and non-material line itemsnManage product cost to achieve pricing and margin targets; set individual cost targets for each component/modulenAssist Procurement in deriving accurate closest to the pin should costsnSupport product integration u0026 feasibility scenarios ROI analyses supply chain optimization investigations environmental implication assessments the Supplier Plan of Record for each new product focusing on strategic supply chain initiatives and get buy-in from cross-functional stakeholdersnHold regular executive forums to review/discuss trending cost vs targets and drive opportunities for cost u0026 design optimization

7 years of relevant experience in Operations Manufacturing Sourcing Supply Chain or related areanBS/BA in Engineering Business Supply Chain or a related fieldnDemonstrated a detailed understanding of product cost management across hardware components and assembliesnProven ability to drive cross-functional alignment and influence decisions at all levels of the organization

Exceptional interpersonal u0026 communication skillsnSelf-starter with strong sense of ownershipnAbility to resolve ambiguity through a creative yet data-centric approach to program management/decision makingnStrong analytical skills and ability to maintain attention to detail within big picture thinkingnExperience managing multiple projects with competing priorities
