Operations Manager-Lean Manufacturing

What Youll Do

• Lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives across all hard chrome plating grinding repair and finishing operations.
• Assess production capacity across stripping masking plating baking grinding and finishing operations.
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all processes.
• Analyze current-state workflows and develop future-state processes to improve throughput reduce lead times and increase On-Time Delivery performance.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing tools including 5S Standard Work Visual Management Gemba walks and Kaizen Blitzes.
• Develop and track KPI dashboards focused on Safety Quality Delivery Cost and Productivity.
• Reduce cycle times eliminate waste and improve operational performance.
• Coach and develop supervisors and production personnel.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable business results.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA EPA and local environmental regulations related to chemical handling waste disposal and air quality.
• Diagnosing operational issues (e.g. lack of metrics poor product flow tooling issues process or quality issues).

Qualifications :

• 5 years leading manufacturing operations in metal finishing machining aerospace industrial repair or related environments.
• Proven success improving throughput capacity utilization and On-Time Delivery.
• Strong experience implementing visual management systems (e.g. KPI boards E3 boards) to drive accountability and transparency.
• Proficiency with Lean tools including Value Stream Mapping Kaizen 5S Visual Management Standard Work and Root Cause Analysis.
• Experience managing KPIs production metrics labor utilization and operational performance. Establish baseline and impact performance.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings tolerances and surface finish specifications.
• ERP/MRP (Steel Core) or similar systems and production scheduling software.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
