Job Summary

The Operations Coordinator leads and oversees the manufacturing operations. This position is responsible overall for improving safety quality performance productivity efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. The position ensures that all orders are completed on time within budget and meet customer expectations and satisfaction.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides leadership direction and organization for the Operations team; comprising Production Warehouse Logistics & Graphics & overall site.
  • Ensures that all orders are manufactured in a correct cost effective and timely manner in alignment with specifications and quality requirements.
  • Responsible for all aspects of material handling operations
  • Improves operational systems processes and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being.
  • Responsible for delivering organizational KPI results specifically On-Time Delivery & Quality to achieve customer satisfaction. Driving individual accountability & execution.
  • Persistent hands-on supervision of the production floor to improve quality and efficiency
  • Tracks and maintains production schedule while identifying and resolving production issues
  • Collaborates with the management / engineering team and all stakeholders to schedule and prioritize daily weekly and monthly work schedules.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable OSHA regulations; drives safety improvement.
  • Hires trains evaluates develops and provides effective supervision to team members
  • Responsible for identifying & implementing improvements of facilities equipment or procedures to improve safety quality and efficiency
  • Enforces and monitors company policies & procedures
  • Oversees project timelines and expenditures on a per project basis to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Responsible for organization and housekeeping of all site areas
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


Requirements

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:


Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field

7 or more years experience in manufacturing assembly in a leadership position or a combination of experience and education.

Ability to identify and anticipate production and operation needs

Expertise to recommend and implement solutions to production issues

Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the company

Must be organized work well under pressure with tight deadlines

Understand the industrial safety health and environmental impacts and proactively address or elevate issues

Must have strong people skills and the ability and desire to promote teamwork and develop employees

Ability to plan and implement improvements; experience with Lean/Six Sigma project delivery

Must be able to communicate effectively in English both in oral and written form. Spanish is an advantage.

Must be able to read and understand drawings and BOMs

Experience with ERP PLM systems & MS Office Suite
