Operations Coordinator Co-Op

GEMCO a fourth-generation family-owned manufacturing company specializing in capital equipment is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to support operations and production coordination. This role is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering with coursework or experience in Computer Science data analysis or systems thinking.

The Operations Coordinator Co-Op will work closely with engineering operations procurement vendors and shop-floor personnel to support material flow production scheduling and process efficiency. This position offers hands-on exposure to real-world manufacturing operations project management ERP systems and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:Support day-to-day departmental activities under the guidance of engineers and operations with data collection analysis and documentation related to projects and in team meetings project reviews and cross-functional basic research and present findings to team members or organized records files and reports in both digital and physical with preparing reports presentations and technical professionally with internal teams vendors and and support shop-floor or operational activities to gain hands-on standard software tools (Microsoft Excel Word project management systems etc.).Leverage computer science or programming knowledge (e.g. data analysis automation reporting tools) to improve workflows and operational :Currently pursuing or a recent graduate with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related or background in Computer Science data analysis or programming organizational skills with attention to written and verbal communication in manufacturing operations capital equipment and production or familiarity with ERP systems is a with project management tools (Asana Trello etc.) is a be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the reside in New Jersey or within commuting distance of Middlesex NJ.
